It’s that time of year again – transfer rumours are rife in the footballing world. Doncaster Rovers are no strangers to this – remember when Carlos Tevez was supposedly making his way down to DN4?
As such, all rumours on this list should be taken with a pinch of salt – apart from one of them, which has already been confirmed.
9. Elliot Watt
Elliot Watt played in almost all of Bradford City's League Two fixtures last season, missing just six. Despite this, Watt's contract at the Bantams is up this summer - meaning he could be snapped up on a free transfer. Should Rovers sign him, he'd be a good option to have in midfield, especially if Ben Close picks up another long term injury. Source: @EFLInsider_ Photo: Pete Norton
10. Cieran Dunne
Perhaps the most obscure player on the list - so much so that we don't even have a picture of him! A product of Sunderland's academy, Cieran Dunne has no experience at first team level, but has shown plenty of potential. Rovers are struggling for depth at left back, which is where Dunne plays (as well as wing back), so he'd be a smart transfer in that regard. However, with his lack of maturity at senior level, it may be advisable to pick up a more experienced defender alongside him. Photo: George Wood
