It’s that time of year again – transfer rumours are rife in the footballing world. Doncaster Rovers are no strangers to this – remember when Carlos Tevez was supposedly making his way down to DN4?
As such, all rumours on this list should be taken with a pinch of salt – apart from one of them, which has already been confirmed.
5. Mark Beck
28 year old versatile striker Mark Beck struggled for goals in League Two last season for Harrogate, but found his feet on loan at York City. He still only scored three goals, but it was his hold up play and intelligent gamesmanship that made him a regular starter. Source: @sopfadam Photo: George Wood
6. Ryan Fallowfield
Another player from Harrogate Town, Ryan Fallowfield is out of contract with the Sulphurites. Should Donny pick him up, he'd presumably play second fiddle to Kyle Knoyle - however, he'd be a useful rotation option and would provide the squad depth that Rovers desperately need. 7. Josh Martin
Here's a name that Rovers fans will be intimately familiar with - Josh Martin, on loan from Norwich, was one of Donny's most effective attacking players last season (which, admittedly, isn't saying much). He's still under contract at Norwich, so a permanent move is out of the question, so it's likely that the club would explore the possibility of another loan deal instead. 8. Kion Etete
A physically imposing centre forward with previous loan spells in the EFL, Kion Etete offers the option of a target man that Rovers simply don't have at the moment. While he's not the most prolific of goalscorers, his height and physicality allow him to cause mayhem in the opposition's box. Source: @efl_hub Photo: Steve Bardens
