How many season tickets Doncaster Rovers have sold so far + third kit update
Rovers’ hierarchy and manager held a lengthy press conference on Thursday with local media
Doncaster Rovers have sold more season tickets than at this stage 12 months ago.
In late July 2025 the club - then preparing for their return to League One - had shifted 5,100 season memberships. Now, a year on, it's been confirmed that figure is up with 5,300 sold as of July 23. Chief commercial officer, speaking at a press conference at Club Doncaster Sports Village, said: "We're at about 5,300, which is slightly higher than where we were this time last year.
"And I think we'll probably have another bit of a spike now that the World Cup's finished and people are thinking about League One football again. I ran into a sponsor the other day and he was like 'League One's back now?' It's almost like everyone's just completely forgotten about domestic football for three or four weeks. So, I'm expecting a bit of a spike.
"Season memberships on the whole have been really positive and grown every year for the past four or five years.
"Also last year, we sold out the South Stand, more games than not, and we never used to do that even in the Championship. So to do that in League One is really, really positive. And I think everyone can see the direction of travel we're going in."
Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that Rovers will indeed be launching a third strip to follow in the footsteps of the home and away kits, both of which have been looked on favourably by supporters.
On the third kit, Lockwood added: "We've got something special lined up for that so it's a case of just watching this space on the third kit, but it should be good."
