Grant McCann confirms double injury boost for Doncaster Rovers ahead of Notts County clash
The latest injury news as Doncaster Rovers prepare to face Notts County
Doncaster Rovers boss Grant McCann has confirmed that the squad will be boosted by the return of both James Husband and Harry Clifton as attention turns to a crucial match at home to Notts County.
Husband, who rejoined the club from Blackpool over the summer, picked up a hamstring injury in pre-season, which has so far led to him missing the first five games of the new campaign.
The 32-year-old came through the Doncaster Rovers Academy and made 73 appearances in Red and White between before leaving in 2014.

He has spent the last seven years of his career at Blackpool and prior to that played for the likes of Middlesbrough, Fulham, Huddersfield Town, Norwich City and Fleetwood Town - amassing great experience in both the Championship and League One.
McCann told the Free Press last week that Husband had begun light training with his teammates but still needed to be hitting some high speed running before being considered.
He also revealed that Clifton’s injury that has kept him out since the loss to Mansfield wasn’t too serious.
Neither were risked against Stevenage but are now set to be introduced back into the matchday squad, offering some much needed depth and competition for places in a busy month of action.
In a fresh update, McCann told club media: “Everyone's come through fine (after Stevenage) and we've added a couple as well. So, James Husband's back fit and available.
“Harry Clifton's is also fit and available. That's a plus for us really having a couple extra bodies around the squad. Obviously we know we've got a lot of games coming up and in in such a short succession. So that's a real plus for us.”
Rovers are currently without Frankie Okoronkwo, who is still being eased back into the action after returning to training.
Meanwhile, Tom Nixon, Matty Pearson both remain out with calf problems. Jamie Sterry, who came off against Middlesbrough with a hamstring injury, is still around two weeks away from returning to the squad.
Rovers are searching for their first win of the season against the Magpies after recording just two points from their opening three matches in League One. Meanwhile, newly-promoted Notts County are unbeaten after draws with Leicester City and Luton Town along with a 2-1 victory over Burton Albion.
