Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the Keepmoat.
5. Reece James 8
A really good performance from the left back who was a real attacking threat for Rovers and covered defensively very well. He moved into midfield later in the game and did not look out of place. He was a calm head throughout. Photo: AHPIX
6. Ben Whiteman 8
It was not a game where the skipper was given an awful lot of time on the ball but he made the best of it when he did, spraying passes out wide and slotting balls through the middle. In what threatened to be a frenetic contest throughout, he brought the calm. Photo: AHPIX
7. Madger Gomes 7
Another game, another goal for Rovers’ new found scoring star. He was a little sloppy in his play otherwise and struggled to impose himself in the middle of the park. But his day will be remembered for a wonderful volleyed finish. Photo: AHPIX
8. Jon Taylor 8
Arguably the hardest working player on the pitch all afternoon, Taylor put in another relentless performance to continue his own strong start to the season. Hard running both going forward and in defending, he capped his performance with a well-deserved goal. Photo: AHPIX
