Woman cut out of car after serious Doncaster motorway crash

Emergency services have been on the scene for around two hours after the collision, which happened just before 2pm today on the M18 southbound, near junction three.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were sent to the scene after receiving an emergency call to the incident, which is ongoing.

Hide AdFirefighters were called upon to free the women from her vehicle, in an incident which involved a van and a car. The fire engines have now left the scene and returned to their fire station.
But police still remain on the site and the road remains closed, said officers a few minutes ago.
A police spokesman said: “We are dealing with a two vehicle RTC (road traffic collision), just before junction three southbound. The carriageway has been fully closed.
“One person has been cut out of their vehicle, with unknown injuries. Officers are still at the scene.”

Hide AdA spokesman for Highways England said: “The M18 in South Yorkshire is closed southbound between junction 4 and junction 3 due to a road traffic collision involving a van and a car.
“One vehicle has sustained significant damage and will need to be recovered.
“Emergency services are responding at the scene.
“Road users are advised to expect delays on the approach to the incident and allow extra time for their journeys.
Traffic is being diverted through Doncaster along the A630 West Moor Link, the A18 and the A6182 White Rose Way.
