Flybe cancelled flights from Doncaster Sheffield Airport last October as the firm tried to streamline services.
In a statement today, the airport said: “We are saddened by today’s announcement that Flybe has ceased trading and gone into administration.
“Whilst Doncaster Sheffield Airport is not directly impacted by today’s action, having worked with Flybe for a number of years, our thoughts are with former colleagues at this difficult time and hope those affected find re-employment soon. We continue to operate as normal with airlines Wizz Air and TUI.”
