Tickhill & District Male Voice Choir performed in Misterton Parish Church

An Evening of Songs was the title of a performance by the Tickhill & District Male Voice Choir in Misterton Parish Church on Saturday 25 April.

With a varied repertoire ranging from traditional American spirituals to the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, and a duet by the (lady) conductor, Gwyneth Platts and a member of the choir, David Smith there was something for everyone.

The choir’s accompanist, Stephen Bilton, who is also the Parish Church’s organist, played two organ solos on the Church’s 1875 pipe organ, a unique instrument and a gift from the Misses and Mr G Wells.

The evening raised £145 for both the Church’s Bells ApPeal and the Choir.
