Fishlake, Bentley, Scawthorpe and Clay Lane were some of the most badly hit areas after the River Don broke its banks in several places following a day of ‘biblical’ rainfall.

Doncaster was devastated by the floods.

Since then, dozens of fundraising campaigns have been organised, while there have also been appeals for cleaning equipment, decorating supplies and other household equipment.

Doncaster schools have held non-uniform and fundraising days while a special fundraising concert will be held at The Dome next month.

SYCF launched the emergency appeal in response to the widespread flooding that has affected much of South Yorkshire in recent weeks.

The appeal will support families and local people who have been displaced from their homes and had their properties damaged by the flood waters.
