Shoppers are being urged to support the campaign

Shoppers are being urged to support Doncaster Foodbank at supermarket giant Tesco this summer.

Doncaster Foodbank is working in partnership with Tesco Extra, Woodfield Plantation to provide food donation bags containing items desperately needed for the organisation’s emergency food parcels.

How it works:

Pick up a pre packed donation bag full of food items from the donation bag stall at the from of the store.

Take the donation bag and pay as normal at the till - the cost will be approximately £2.50.

Place the donation bag in the food donation bin after the tills.

Volunteer drivers will collect the food donations twice a week.

Dates of the summer collection: 22 July to 1 September.

A spokesperson for Doncaster Foodbank said: “Every donation bag you purchase will go towards an emergency food parcel for a local resident of Doncaster who has been assessed to be in need of emergency food aid.”
