Police car involved in Doncaster collision was en route to emergency call
Emergency services were called to the scene following the crash
A police car involved in a collision which closed a major Doncaster road was responding to a call, forces chiefs have said.

Emergency services were called to Balby last night (September 15) following the collision in Carr Hill.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “At 8.08pm yesterday (Tuesday 15 September), a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a black Nissan Qashqai at Carr Hill in Balby, Doncaster, while responding to a call for service.
“This was a collision involving only minor injuries and therefore will not be sharing any further information.”
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while heavy traffic built up.
The road was later re-opened.
