Motorbike-mad four-year-old overjoyed as 150 bikers turn up to sing happy birthday outside his Doncaster home

But when four year old Jayden Walters looked out of the window on Saturday (August 22) to see who had arrived, he was amazed to see over 150 had turned up on Norman Crescent, Rossington, to help him celebrate his fourth birthday!

Jayden, who has a rare life limiting condition, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, loves motorbikes, prompting his mum’s appeal a couple of weeks ago.

Sarah said: “Jayden loves motorbikes, and we don’t know how many more birthdays he is going to have, so we try to make every one special.

"I put a social media post out asking for a few bikers to come. But the Doncaster Dragons motorbike club picked up on it and said they’d organise something. I expected a handful. They never said how many they were bringing!

“Jayden was just overjoyed – he won’t stop talking about it.

"We originally planned a party in a hall, but lockdown put an end to that. But this was amazing. We hope to have a hall next year – with some bikers!"

Jayden’s favourite toys are his motorbike toys.

The bikers donated Jayden a Doncaster Dragons motorbike club badge, and his mum said she planned to get him a leather jacket he could wear it on. They have made him an honorary member of the club.

The bIkers who came from as far away as Hull and Lincoln assembled together in the layby outside Pheasant Bank Primary Academy on Saturday, so they could all arrive at Jayden’s house together.

A club spokesman said Jayden melted hearts everywhere he went and they had helped him celebrate his birthday the biker way, and described the youngster as inspirational.

The event raised £240 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Bluebell Wood children’s hospice.

Jayden was diagnosed with rare condition Loeys-Dietz syndrome after being rushed to a special care unit shortly after his birth and undergoing heart surgery.

Sarah said the Doncaster Dragons were considered part of her family now.
