Misterton information centre gets cash boost

An information centre is to be opened in West Stockwith – in the old GPO phone box!

And to kick-start the project, the parish council, which now owns the phone box, received a grant for £100 from district councillor Hazel Brand.

She is pictured handing over the cheque to (left) clerk Dave Harford and chairman Peter Ray. The phone box will be cleaned and refurbished then information racks installed. A spokesman said: “The new information centre will complement the information available in St Mary’s Church.”
