Mayor to be quizzed on airport deal at Doncaster public meeting
The public meeting allows people to ask questions of the South Yorkshire mayor
Members of the public are to be given the chance to quiz South Yorkshire mayor Oliver Coppard over his decision to buy Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority yesterday confirmed the decision to buy the airport, which closed in 2022, from landowners Peel.

Now the public can quiz the mayor at a public meeting due to be held next month.
Cleared for Take-Off – A Q&A on the Future of DSA, will be held on Monday 9 November at Club Doncaster Sports Village, formerly the Eco Power Stadium.
People can arrive from 5.30pm with the meeting starting at 6pm.

A spokesperson for the Save DSA campaign said: “Oliver Coppard will be taking questions directly from the public about the airport's reopening and what comes next.
“We've come a long way in four years, but there are still plenty of questions about airlines, cargo, radar, reopening dates, jobs and the opportunities DSA will bring to our region.
“This is your opportunity to ask those questions directly.
“Whether you're a supporter, local resident, business owner or just interested in the airport's future, everyone is welcome.
We've fought for over four years to get our airport back. Let's keep showing our support and make sure our voices continue to be heard!
