M18: Southbound carriageway closed between Hatfield and Doncaster due to a multi vehicle collision

The M18 is closed southbound between J4 (Hatfield) to J3 (Doncaster) due to a multi vehicle collision.

Emergency services including Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Yorkshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene to assist with traffic management.

There is a diversion in place, as follows:

• Exit the M18 at J4 exit slip road.
• At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A630 and proceed along this road for approximately 2 miles to the roundabout with the A18.
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A18 (Thorne Road/Leger Way/Carr House Road) and proceed along the A18 for approximately 3 miles to the roundabout with the A6182.
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A6182 (White Rose Way) and proceed along this road for approximately 2 miles to the junction with the M18 Motorway (Junction 3).At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to rejoin M18 South
