'Knight Rider' charity family cycling event to be held in Doncaster
The event welcomes rides of all ages
As autumn evenings grow darker, a local charity partnership is aiming to keep community spirits high and wheels turning safely with a brand-new evening cycling fundraiser.
The Rotary Club of Doncaster Knights, in collaboration with the Doncaster Knights Foundation, has officially announced its "Knight Riding at the Dome" event.

Scheduled to take place on Sunday, 25 October from 4pm to 6pm the initiative is designed to encourage safe seasonal cycling while raising essential funds for local charitable causes.
The event takes advantage of the world-class, flood-lit track facilities at The Dome on Bawtry Road, ensuring participants can stay active securely despite the autumn clocks turning back soon.
Organisers emphasize that "Knight Riding" is entirely inclusive, welcoming cyclists of all ages and abilities—from families with young children to seasoned riders.
Participants are invited to tackle the circuit at their own pace, with the option to complete anywhere from a casual single lap up to a challenging 20-lap run.

"Don't let the clocks going back stop you cycling safely," the Rotary Club shared in a statement, urging local residents to gather friends and family for a night of active community fun.
Families are also encouraged to gather sponsorships ahead of the event to maximize the fundraising impact.
While entry to the event is completely free, organizers are asking attendees for a suggested minimum donation of £5 per person. All funds raised will directly support the Doncaster Knights Foundation alongside a variety of other vital local charities.
For individuals who do not own equipment, on-site hire for adult bikes, junior bikes, and helmets will be accessible at the track entrance. Participants can register with a cycle official upon arrival and sign out when their challenge is complete.
