Nearly 40 of the decorations have been created across Doncaster
Giant poppies have been unveiled across Doncaster for the Remembrance period.
City of Doncaster Council’s Street Scene teams have been out across Doncaster this week painting and installing Remembrance poppies at locations throughout the city.

A total of 36 poppies have been created, including the traditional red poppy and several purple poppies, which honour the animals that served and sacrificed alongside military personnel during times of conflict.
A City of Doncaster Council spokesperson said: “These striking displays are part of a wider community effort across the city.

“We would also like to recognise the incredible work of the many community groups, volunteers, schools and local organisations who have dedicated their time to installing poppies, creating artwork and helping ensure Doncaster pays tribute to those who gave so much.
“As we approach Remembrance Day, these displays provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to pause, reflect and remember all those who served and sacrificed.
“A huge thank you to everyone involved in making these tributes possible.
