Fund set up to bring Christmas early for terminally ill youngster
The youngster is on end of life care at a Yorkshire hospice
A heartbreaking appeal has been launched to help a terminally ill youngsters on end of life care celebrate Christmas early.
Freya Downes, who is just seven years old, is severely ill at a hospice in West Yorkshire - and friends of her mum Lauren, formerly of Doncaster, are desperately raising funds to help the family celebrate one last Christmas together.

Pal Chelsea Shields, who has launched a £6,000 fundraiser which you can donate to here https://shorturl.at/pVIYM said: “I never imagined I would ever have to write something like this.
“Lauren has been one of my closest friends for over 12 years, and she has been given the devastating news that no parent should ever have to hear.
“Her beautiful little girl, Freya was born with CMV (cytomegalovirus) and has faced more than any child ever should.
“After everything she has been through, Lauren has now been told that Freya is nearing the end of her life.
“Freya has been moved to a hospice where she can receive the comfort, love and end of life care she needs.
“We want to bring Christmas early for Freya.
“We want to give her the things that make her smile, surround her with everything and anything a seven year old girl could wish for, create magical moments, make memories and give Lauren the opportunity to make Freya’s remaining time as special and full of love as possible.
“No parent should have to think about money when they should be spending every precious second holding their child.
“Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards making Freya’s wishes and dreams possible and helping Lauren create those precious memories with her daughter.
“Let's come together and give this beautiful little girl the Christmas she deserves, fill her final moments with magic, and give her mummy memories that she can hold onto forever
Another pal, Fiona Parry said: “Freya loves Christmas and they already have a Christmas tree set up for her in her room, with decorations bought with the donations so far.”
