Doncaster Mayor Ros Jones and King Charles welcomes new Prime Minister Andy Burnham

Doncaster Mayor Ros Jones has welcomed the new Prime Minister Andy Bunrham who officially took up the post on Monday July 20.
She said: “I would like to congratulate Andy Burnham on becoming Prime Minister of this great country.
“We are living in a world of heightened tensions and division, where politics has become more about performance than policy, with excessive focus on slogans and soundbites rather than solutions.
“My big ask of our new Prime Minister is also a huge opportunity, to cut through the noise by listening to what people want, to reconnect politics with communities across the UK and deliver real improvements in the lives of everyday working people.”
She continued: ”Places like Doncaster are ambitious and can be catalysts for economic growth, contributing to driving the UK economy forwards.
