Firefighters this evening confirmed the blaze at Plum Tree Road industrial estate, Bircotes, between Bawtry and Tickhill, is finally out. Crews were due to return this evening to re-inspect the site. They issued drone pictures of the fire.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire Service said: “We currently have no presence at the incident on Plum Tree Road, after crews extinguished the fire. A fire investigation has been completed.”

Earlier this afternoon, officers asked people to stay away from the site.

They said: “Following this incident we ask that the public keeps away from the site. The footpath behind the industrial estate is currently closed and will remain so for at least another 24 hours due to possible structural collapse caused by the fire damage at the unit.”
