A police probe is continuing today into a stabbing in Doncaster which left a man fighting for life.

An investigation was launched after a 26-year-old man was knifed in his chest in an attack on Balby Road, Balby, at around 2.20pm yesterday.

Sandford Road was also closed by officers and traffic was diverted away from Balby Road near to The Plough pub and along Greenfield Lane into Hexthorpe.
