Terence Papworth, aged 45 and formerly of Dryden Road, Balby, is accused of murdering 26-year-old Amy Stringfellow on Friday, June 5.

She could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later – triggering a murder probe.

Papworth was quizzed throughout yesterday and after being charged was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Detectives and crime scene investigators spent much of yesterday at the house where Amy’s body was found.
