Doncaster's coronavirus death toll continues to rise as another 75 fatalities are recorded

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has recorded the deaths of another three patients, taking its death toll to 192.

NHS England figures released today show another 75 fatalities have been recorded since yesterday, with a total of 27,359 hospital patients in England having died after testing positive for Covid-19.

There have been 275 deaths in Sheffield, which is up one since yesterday; 174 in Rotherham, which is the same as yesterday and 126 in Barnsley, which is also the same as yesterday.

Of the deaths announced today, the patients were aged between 43 and 100 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.

Lockdown measures have been eased this week, with schools open to more pupils and groups of six now able to meet in outside spaces but the two-metre social distancing rule still applies.
