Four arrested in 'targeted' Doncaster shootings after three men left injured

Four people have been arrested in connection with a spate of ‘targeted’ shootings in Doncaster.

Between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday, November 7, it is believed a firearm was discharged on Park Road, Conisbrough.

In the early hours of Monday, November 9 it is reported that a firearm was discharged on Daylands Avenue. A 19-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The same day at approximately 10pm, police received a further report that a firearm had been discharged on March Vale Rise. A 47-year-old man and a 22-year-old man both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Two men, aged 22 and 19, a 44-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences. They remain in custody.

The incidents are all being treated as targeted attacks.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Henderson, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “I want people to be reassured that we are working hard to investigate these offences.

“We will have an enhanced police presence in the area over the coming days. Four people are in custody at this time and I would like to hear from anyone who has information about any of these reports, even if it seems like a small or insignificant detail.
