Sheffield judges sentenced them to a total of 259 years and seven months behind bars between them.
Some of these defendants acknowledged their wrongdoing through guilty pleas, and accordingly, got time off the length of their prison sentence.
Others sought to deny their crimes, and were convicted at the conclusion of their Sheffield Crown Court trials.
The shortest sentence passed down to the sex offenders included in this list is one of 34 months, while the longest sentence currently being served by these offenders is one of 20 years.
After serving their sentences, a number of these offenders will remain on the sex offenders’ register for a set period of time.

2. Richard Green: Jailed for four years, six months
A “depraved” man paid a mother for sickening child sexual abuse images of her nine-year-old daughter and asked for live webstreams of the child, after becoming involved with a trafficking network operating in the Philippines. Richard Green, aged 49, was splitting his time between Rotherham and Thailand, where his wife lived, when he became involved with the exploitative enterprise, Sheffield Crown Court was told during a December 9, 2025 hearing. Over the course of 350 messages with a Filipino woman involved with the “child trafficking network,” Green discussed the sexual abuse of her nine-year-old daughter and asked for live webcam streams. The network was brought down following an undercover investigation by Homeland Security in the United States of America. Jailing Green for more than four years, The Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Jeremy Richardson KC, told him: “Those who seek sexual gratification by the exploitation of children in the Far East or any other country should be severely punished.” Green was arrested just a month later in February 2024. He subsequently pleaded guilty to charges, including one count of attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sexual offence, along with making indecent images of children in Categories A, B and C. Sending Green to begin a sentence of four years, six months, Judge Richardson said he had taken Green’s mitigation, and the fact a prison sentence is likely to “fall hard” upon him, into consideration. | SYP

3. Sean Gamble: Man who raped young girl when he was a teenager jailed for 11 years
The girl Sean Gamble preyed upon is now a woman. Gamble, appearing via prison video link, remained silent as her affecting statement was read to Sheffield Crown Court. In it, she described how the sexual abuse he subjected her to has made her feel “dirty” and “worthless” for decades, impacting on her mental health, her ability to form healthy relationships and causing her to feel “paranoid” about harm being caused to her children. But after jurors rejected Gamble’s denials to find him guilty of two counts of rape, and six counts of indecent assault at the conclusion of a trial at the same court, the complainant says the court process has taught her she is “worthy.” “My self-worth was taken away for years…I now love myself and have self-worth…I know I will never be abused again,” she said. As he sent Gamble to begin an 11-year prison sentence, Judge David Dixon said in his view Gamble had subjected the complainant to a “classic” process of grooming. Judge Dixon also granted a restraining order, prohibiting Gamble from contacting the complainant for the rest of her life. He told Gamble that he will be subject to sex offender notification requirements, upon his release from prison. | SYP

4. Kieron Spencer: Jailed for four years for offences including sexual assault
“He doesn’t realise how much he’s broken me.” Those are the heartbreaking words of a sexual assault survivor, which were read out in court as her attacker was brought to justice. Defendant Kieron Spencer was forced to listen as a statement from the woman he assaulted was read out during his sentencing hearing at Sheffield Crown Court. She also revealed she was “terrified” of what would happen, if she were to see Spencer again. Spencer, aged 41, who appeared at court via a prison video link, could be seen shaking his head as the facts of the case were read out during a hearing held on October 27, 2025. He also sought to deny any wrongdoing through his not guilty pleas. But jurors rejected his account and found him guilty of multiple offences, including sexual assault and threats to kill, all of which were committed in Sheffield. Sending Spencer to begin a four-year prison sentence, Judge Slater said he disagreed with the conclusions of the psychiatrist whose report was submitted in evidence. Judge Slater explained this is because he does not believe his conditions significantly affected his culpability, or responsibility, for the offences. | SYP
