York's own comedy improv night is back at Cast with its own brand of sensational silliness.

It's funny, it's foolish, it's fit for family audiences, and it really does make it up as it goes along.

You bring the ideas to Right Here Right Now and the merry band of improvisers instantly turn them into chaotic comedy.

Join Riding Lights for music, mayhem and muppetry in an unrepeatable evening of joy-filled nonsense.

This one, the company suggest, is "all a little bit Grange-Hill..." but they're not giving away much in the way of spoilers.

Described by Reviews Hub as “a couple of hours of really clever people saying very funny things," Right Here Right Now! has been touring the UK after years of performances at its home base, Friargate Theatre, in York.

In 2025 and 2026, Right Here Right Now! was invited to perform at The Big Feastival, run by Blur bass-player Alex James.

With a large pool of improv comedians rotating in and out of the touring company, and with the laughs prompted by whoever's in the audience, this is the show that never – ever – repeats itself.

Improv impresario at the heart of Right Here Right Now!, Paul Birch, says, "It's brilliant to be back in Doncaster after a fantastic visit to Cast in May this year.

“We had a blast, so we can't wait to meet some old friends and make some new ones this time around."
