Adwick Park Rangers JFC has finished third overall in this year’s Cash for Kids sports challenge, as the only Doncaster-based sports team to take part.
The club raised £5,396.90 in one month through the efforts of coaches, parents, players and supporters, earning an extra £1,500 and taking the total to £6,896.90.
Fundraising activities included surfing, sports days, walks, litter picks, a parents versus coaches competition, leg waxing and quizzes.
The club said the support shown throughout the challenge had been “nothing short of outstanding”, and thanked everyone who organised, donated to or took part in the events.
It said the money would help it continue to make Adwick Park Rangers JFC a place where young players can thrive.
