Retro pictures of when the royals visited Doncaster

Prince Charles is visiting Doncaster this week so to honour the occasion we have dug out some archive pictures of royal visits from years gone by.

Whether its the queen standing up waving at the crowds or Prince Charles in a boat learning about flood damage the royals have been regular visitors to South Yorkshire.

Which royal visit do you remember?
