See branding and fittings in place at new Doncaster museum, cinema and UTC as latest picture gallery shows work nearing completion at major Waterdale developments

These major Doncaster town centre development schemes are now starting to look like the museum, college, and cinema that they will soon be.

Our latest picture gallery showing how work is progressing on the Danum Gallery, Library and Museum, the cinema, and the University Technical College, all being constructed on Waterdale, shows how the inside fittings and the branding are now appearing.

The opening of the museum has been delayed by the Covid 19 crisis, and there is still no date finalised for its opening. But our new pictures, taken this week, show the Danum branding on the glass, as well as the fittings in the library in place, and the furniture which will allow people to sit inside the glass atrium around the former Doncaster girls high school façade.

Officials have said the cinema could open this month. Although work is still going on, our pictures show the fittings clearly in place in the entrance hall, with the drinks dispenser counter visible. And the Savoy branding is now installed at the top of the main entrance.

And the pictures also show how the UTC is progressing, with plans to open it to students after October half term.
