“It got me thinking that we don’t really have anything like that in Doncaster and so I started to research how it was made.

“I had a go at home and the kids and the neighbours really seemed to like it.”

Scott was persuaded by family to try to sell his fudge so he went through the process of gaining the relevant Health and Safety qualifications and then set up a Facebook page.

Scott and Rose-Marie have already gained requests from America and Scotland for their fudge despite only having been open for business less than a month.

On their first weekend in operation the couple decided to donate all of their profits to the Doncaster Cancer Support Drop in Centre.

They managed to raise £120 in the memory of a loved lost one who recently died.
