Ruby is a trainee journalist from North Tyneside who is studying for her NCTJ diploma. In her spare time, she writes for her university publications, Forge Press and Liberty Belle and has had work published in Exposed Magazine, The Yorkshire Times and SWNS as well as The Daily Star, Manchester Evening News and Sheffield Star among others.

She loves any story with real people at the heart of it and one of the stories she is most proud of was about a woman who originally dismissed her symptoms as the menopause, but as it turned out, she ended up being diagnosed with terminal cancer. In the future she aims to do more reporting on courts and crime in addition to publishing more human interest based stories.
