Busted back together and heading for Sheffield
Fan favourites Busted have announced their return to the world of music with their first tour in more than 10 years.
The trio, who smashed records in 2004 with 12 sold-out nights at Wembley Arena on their last tour, will return to the venue as the first stop on their 2016 set of live dates.
Bass guitarist Matt Willis said: “I always thought in my heart we’d do Busted again, but it was just a matter of when and how.”
Matt and bandmates Charlie Simpson and James Bourne split 11 years ago to pursue solo careers, but are back together due to a sense of “unfinished business”.
After leaving Busted , Charlie formed alternative band Fightstar, releasing three albums before deciding to focus on solo work, leading to his top-10 album Young Pilgrim.

Lead guitarist James said: “We’ve done this scenic route back to being Busted. And now we’re here, we’re all super-re-energised.”
Drummer Charlie said: “A year ago James and I just started hanging out. And the idea crept into my head after all that time apart: what would Busted look like today?”
And fans have been quick to share their joy at the news.
Posting on Twitter, @curly_kate said: “So excited Busted are back together. Happy memories of trying to learn the lyrics to Year 3000.”
And @Holliehappyfeet posted: “I will be at Busted 2nd time in Sheffield and I will be there again with my Busted scarf from their very first tour.”
