From a community bug hunt to kitchen discos and tracking down dragons, we may still be in lockdown but we can still enjoy some family fun.

1. Doncaster Mumbler’s Big Community Bug Hunt
Looking for something FREE and safe to do this spring and over the Easter holidays in Doncaster? Doncaster Mumbler has created a big community bug hunt for everyone to take part in at various locations across the borough. Head to one of five locations* up until April 12, where you’ll find things to spot and questions to answer along the way. Download resources below and if you can’t get out and about, you can join in at home.
This is an activity that can be enjoyed safely, outside, socially distanced. Please follow the latest government guidelines.

2. Sandall Beat Wood
A great place to enjoy the outdoors in woodland, enjoying a picnic, walking and playing.
There is a play area, sensory area and car parking.
Covill’s Trail is a 2km circular path through the wood, suitable for pushchairs.

3. Easter with darts
This Easter, children and young people from across the borough are invited to join darts’ artists to make music, dance, create art and clown around! It’s easy to join in online from the comfort of your own home.
These workshops are designed to be inclusive for disabled and non-disabled children and young people and their families to get involved in together. No previous experience is necessary, and you are guaranteed to have a good time. 4. Brodsworth Hall
Between Monday March 29 and Sunday April 18 join in on a legendary quest at Brodsworth Hall. Crack the clues and search for the dragon eggs on the quest boards as you explore the outdoor trail through the gardens. Intrepid explorers who track down the hatched dragon will be rewarded with a chocolate treat as well as a certificate.
You can start your quest at Brodsworth Hall every day of the school holidays. It costs just £1.50 per child and this includes a handy pencil for your quest. Photo: .
