Take a look inside the huge state-of-the-art JD Gym in Doncaster, which promises a “truly cutting-edge fitness experience.”
More than £1.5million has been invested in fitting out the facility, which is located in the former Furniture Barn building on Ogden Road. It officially opened on Tuesday (January 14).
Speaking on the opening day, one gym-goer said: “I’m very impressed with the size, atmosphere and friendliness of everybody.
“All the instructors have been round and introduced themselves to us. I’m impressed with the lighting and the sound system is really good, it’s making me motivated.”
Another man added: “It’s relaxed. I’m a bit on the older side but I don’t feel out of place at all.”
Those working out will have more than 300 classes a month to choose from, including Yoga, Les Mills and Bootcamp.
The gym boasts a slick fit-out, high-tech equipment and bespoke workout areas, including a dedicated spinning room and a huge free weights area. Relaxing saunas are also available. See for yourself in the virtual tour.
The facility is run by JD Gyms, an award-winning budget gym chain based across the UK which also has a site in Barnsley.
With more than 360 retail stores across the UK, Europe and recent moves into Australia, JD Sports launched it’s JD Gyms fitness centre concept in 2014.
