With the space travel theme in mind, the installation gets its name from the time it takes for light to travel from the earth to the moon at a velocity of 300 000km/s. Originally inspired by the church’s columns, stained glass windows and overall gothic style, visitors are given glimpses of the architectural details as lights flash and illuminate the grand space of the Minster.
And for the Corn Exchange, Right Up Our Street have commissioned Greenaway to create an artwork to be projected on the building.
This piece is about telling the story of Doncaster through the eyes of the people, creating a unique film.
