Toll Bar Continue Unbeaten Run Ahead of Play-Off Semi-Final
Joel Garrity reports on Doncaster Toll Bar’s impressive winning streak
Doncaster Toll Bar’s first team rounded off their regular league campaign in impressive fashion on Saturday, maintaining their 100% record with a 30–10 victory away at Hunslet.
The result made it 13 wins from 13 league games for Toll Bar as they head into the play-offs. The team will now face Hunslet again this weekend, this time at home in the semi-final.

Toll Bar are coached by former Dons legend Peter Green, who was delighted with the team’s performance.
“We were really proud of the effort from the team, who stepped up to beat a physical Hunslet side,” said Green.
“The lads adapted to a few positional changes well, and a number of players played more minutes than usual and did a great job.
“Luke Cade and Charlie Kirk had big games, alongside Kieron Lawton and Jack Green, who were constant threats in attack.
“We look forward to welcoming Hunslet to Toll Bar next week in our first play-off game.”
Having already secured top spot in the Yorkshire Men’s Premier Division, Toll Bar will face fourth-placed Hunslet at Prospect Road this weekend, with a place in the final at stake.
The club will be hoping to make it 14 wins on the bounce and continue what has been an outstanding season so far.
Alongside their impressive league campaign, Toll Bar have also lifted the Yorkshire Men’s League Cup, securing victory in the final at Odsal, Bradford.
There will be an added sense of occasion at Prospect Road this weekend, with the club hosting an “Old Boys Day” alongside the semi-final.
The event will give former Toll Bar players the opportunity to return to the club, watch the current team in action and catch up with old friends and teammates.
It promises to be a fantastic day of rugby, with the club hoping to see plenty of familiar faces back at Toll Bar to celebrate the club’s past while supporting the current team as they continue their push for further silverware.
