Super swimming seven secure medal haul in North East Championships
A total of 13 gold medals made their way back to Doncaster, with the DARTES finishing a close second on the medal table by the country’s biggest team, Leeds.
Nine silver and five bronze medals were also collected with the elite team of ten to 13-year-olds enjoying a superb day of competition.

Following the success, four DARTES swimmers have been selected for the Swim England Regional Pathway Programme for 2019 with another earning a call at county level.
DARTES head coach Dave Cuthbert said: “There are only a small number of swimmers identified each year for Swim England talent programmes and Doncaster DARTES has supplied five of these for 2019.
“The borough should be so proud of its achievements but without the commitment and dedication of the swimmers, their families and the army of volunteers that keep running the club it wouldn’t be possible.

“Unfortunately, swimming in Doncaster struggles to get funding and sponsorship from the local authority or local businesses and every year we risk losing the ability to provide the services and the success which we can achieve.”
