The action gets underway at 1.15pm and culminates with the 5.05pm. The Racing Post have previewed all of the action with stats and analysis.

Brian Hughes is currently a clear leader in the race to be crowned champion Jump jockey and has an enviable book of rides on Town Moor. They include the in-form Knockrobin in the Novices’ Handicap Chase at 1.45pm. The nine-year-old recorded a two and a quarter-length success at Catterick in January and represents a trainer in Donald McCain currently operating at a 12% strike-rate in the last fortnight.

Hughes also partners the lightly-raced Glenduff in the opening Novices’ Hurdle at 1.15pm. An impressive winner at Carlisle in November, he was never travelling when a bitterly disappointing sixth at Newcastle later the same month. Off the track since, he could resume his progression here for a trainer in Nicky Richards currently enjoying a 38% strike-rate in the last 14 days. Hughes is also a man to follow in the last two weeks with seven winners from 42 rides, a stunning 17% success rate.

Elsewhere on the card, Dan Skelton has trained six winners from 33 runners at Doncaster so far this season and saddles the unexposed Gilka in the Fillies’ Juvenile Maiden (2.25pm). A French import, the four-year-old shaped nicely on her debut at Ludlow in February having made a mistake during the contest and this looks a winnable event.

Mercian Knight has winning course form at Doncaster for Amy Murphy this season when deservedly justifying favouritism in a novice event in December A disappointing fifth at Chepstow in testing going last time out, this race looks a better fit and he is interesting on his handicap debut in the 3.45pm. Teescomponentstrig is another leading chance for Brian Hughes and was successful on his latest start at Newcastle in January.

The green and gold silks of billionaire owner JP McManus have been carried to glory four times already this week at the Cheltenham Festival and they could also be worn to success in the Handicap Hurdle at 4.25pm courtesy of the Philip Hobbs-trained Feuille De Chene. The five-year-old was a creditable third in a novice event at Exeter in December and an opening mark of 108 looks fair for this handicap event.
