The Woodlands fighter is set to face British and Commonwealth super bantamweight champion Brad Foster with all the titles up for grabs.

And Foster’s promoter Frank Warren won the purse bids for the contest, which is likely to take place at the end of August and broadcast live on BT Sport.

Cunningham is no stranger to the away corner, having faced the biggest tests of his career against ‘home’ fighters.

And he turned in a career best performance to win the European title last time out by outpointing Gamal Yafai on a Matchroom Boxing bill.

Foster is Cunningham’s mandatory challenger after an impressive rise over the last two and a half years, beginning by claiming the British title from Barnsley’s Josh Wale.

Following his European title triumph, Cunningham has been rated inside the world top 15 at super bantamweight by the IBF.
