Doncaster Town’s disappointing start to the season continued at home to Treeton as they were bowled out for 92 and lost by five wickets.

Joe Gallagher (24), captain Bilal Anjam (21) and Usama Mir (10) were the only Town batsmen to reach double figures as the hosts were skittled out in 27.1 overs.

It wasn’t entirely plain sailing for Treeton in response but an unbeaten 42 from Viraj Bhosale saw them home in 26 overs.

Town lie ninth in the early Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League Premier Division standings having lost three from five.

Tickhill are seventh, level on points with Town, after their clash with Sheffield Collegiate was abandoned just one over into the second innings.

Ross Diver top scored with 68 not out as Tickhill posted 134-4 from 32 overs.

Collegiate were set a revised target of 167 from 32 overs but the rain came with the score on 3-0.

Doncaster host Sheffield Collegiate on Saturday, while Tickhill travel to Hallam.

Sprotbrough, Warmsworth and Conisbrough all saw their matches in the Championship abandoned just after the halfway stage.

Tom Kaye top scored with 31 as Sprotbrough posted 152 all out against Whiston Parish Church, who were 8-0 when the game was halted.

Warmsworth had made 121 all out against Cleethorpes, including 39 from Liam Marshall and 33 from Ryan Pearson.

Hassan Bin Shahab snared 6-20 for Conisbrough to help restrict Houghton Main to 142-9 from 36 overs.
