Luke Townsend’s side lead the way in the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League and, following Saturday’s five wicket win over Wickersley, have lost just once in ten games.

They defeated Yorkshire North Premier League outfit Sheriff Hutton Bridge on Sunday to reach the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Town have also qualified for YSPL T20 finals day, which takes place at Barnsley this Sunday.

And they will host Cuckney in the regional final of the ECB National Club Championship on June 30.

Duncan Heath played a starring role in the victory over Wickersley at Town Fields.

The ever-impressive spinner claimed figures of 5-23 from 15 overs as the visitors collapsed to 111 all out.

Bilal Anjam opened with 53 as Doncaster reached a rain-revised target of 107 in 39.3 overs.

All-rounder Jack Shutt top scored with the bat and then claimed two wickets in a hard fought cup win over Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Shutt dug in to make 45 in bowler-friendly conditions as Doncaster posted 136-6 from 40 overs.

Dulash Udayanga looked set to guide the visitors home before Shutt removed him for 57 and Bridge slid from 102-5 to 130 all out.
