Doncaster RLFC 36 Wakefield Trinity Reserves 22: Dons record victory in final pre-season friendly
The Dons were the first to threaten – winger Tom Halliday going close trying to dive over from a long pass.
The home side survived a spell of pressure on their own line prior to returning to the attack and opening the scoring with a ninth-minute try in the corner by winger Sam Doherty after full-back Jack Logan had linked up in attack in the Wakefield 20.

There was a let-off for the Dons on 22 minutes when a Trinity player knocked on with line at his mercy after Logan had fumbled the ball.
The Dons continued to concede penalties at regular intervals and Trinity levelled the scores for a second time when second-rower Harry Dodd weaved his way over from close range near enough for Connor Bailey to convert.
