Doncaster Knights’ Charlie Foley says Sunday’s clash with Saracens will be the “biggest game” of many of their squad’s careers – but they will not be daunted by it.

The former Premiership and European champions head to Castle Park for a fascinating Championship contest.

In a truncated campaign only ten games long, Doncaster have started brilliantly with five wins from their opening five outings.

Utility-back Foley, who joined from Rotherham Titans four years ago, said: “For a lot of the boys it is probably the biggest game they’ve played in.

“Some played in the Championship Final (against Bristol) a few years ago which was massive.

"But in terms of the quality of players coming here, everyone knows what they’re going to bring.

"The level they have played at for a number of seasons, Saracens are one of the biggest clubs in Europe – the world – so we’re all excited by it.”

England and British Lions stars such as Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, Elliot Daly and Billy Vunipola have all been named in Saracens’ starting XV but Foley says Doncaster do not feel pressure.

“By winning the first five games in a short season, we’re automatically involved in the top end battle,” he said.

“It makes for a great game. The expectation for them is to come down to the Champ’, win all their games and go straight back up.

“But I think they’ve found so far they’re not going to have it all their own way. It is a bit of a free shot for us.”
