Fejiri Okenabirhie picked up an ankle injury which kept him out of Doncaster Rovers’ defeat to Accrington Stanley.

The striker was absent from the squad alongside Matt Smith as Rovers slipped to a third straight loss.

“Fej picked up a little knock to his ankle and just wasn’t fit for the game.

“We’ll have a look at him and see how he is for Saturday.”

Smith was rested over concerns he has played too much football in a short period of time in recent weeks.

But Moore is confident the Manchester City loanee will be available to face Hull City this weekend.

“Matt is one of them who has played a lot of minutes and he got to a level where it becomes a concern over how much he has played,” he said.

“That is why we didn’t include him and looked after him.

“We hope he’ll be okay for the weekend.

“The main aim is his well-being.”
