Madger Gomes was withdrawn due to illness during Doncaster Rovers’ win over Wycombe Wanderers, Darren Moore has revealed.

The midfielder turned in an excellent combative performance during the impressive victory but was substituted off just after the hour mark and replaced by Jason Lokilo.

“Madger had an upset stomach,” Moore explained.

“He wasn’t feeling great so we had to take him off.”

Gomes had made his first start in four matches for Rovers in Saturday’s game.
