'We're really close' - Positive update from Darren Moore as Doncaster Rovers line up next new addition

Moore is looking to add a forward to his ranks and the Free Press understands a striker is poised to arrive before this weekend’s trip to promotion rivals Lincoln City.

The Rovers boss has previously kept his cards close to his chest on the progress of the recruitment drive but offered positive news on what could prove to be the final piece of his jigsaw.

“We’re looking to bring the one in and I’m really close again,” he said.

“I won’t do the cartwheels until we get him signed and that’s just the way we are.

“But we are close again.

“By the time that it shuts down today and we’ve worked, I’ll leave it in the capable hands of others so we can focus and get our heads on the game.

“It’s a striker or attacking player. If we can get another one up the top end of the pitch we will.
