Despite dominating long stretches of the first ever game at Wimbledon’s new Plough Lane stadium, Rovers twice needed to come from behind, with James Coppinger’s injury time strike rescuing a point.

Matt Smith had cancelled out Joe Pigott’s initial goal before the Wimbledon striker again put the hosts ahead against the run of play.

“We should have won the game and it’s definitely two points dropped for me,” Moore said.

“The way the game played out - we had 20 attempts on goal, possession was nearly 70 per cent.

“When you’re the away team and you come and dominate a game like that, you should come away with the point.

“We haven’t and we could have come away with nothing.

“I’m disappointed with the two goals conceded, very disappointed.

“We’ll look at those and analyse them.”

Moore was particularly frustrated with the manner of Wimbledon’s two goals - both of which originated from Rovers’ right side and saw Pigott finish at the back post.

“I’ve got to look at how they got down there,” he said. “They look vaguely similar.

“But they’ve also come a long way across the box and if my memory serves me correctly then it’s come across two or three bodies.

“Both of them were similar finishes and I’m disappointed with the two.

“If you’re going to win football matches then you can’t give away goals.”

The Rovers boss was pleased to see his side remain on task after falling behind and ensuring they departed Plough Lane with something to show for their efforts.

“When you go 2-1 down so late in the game, you fear the worst,” he said. “You came to get three points and you could end up losing three points.

“Credit to the players that they showed the determination and desire to get back in the game and I think it’s more than we deserved.

“I thought we came here and set our stall out to try to dominate the game and come away with maximum points.

“Credit to Wimbledon. They stayed in the game, they made it very difficult for us. They blocked shots, threw bodies on the line.”
