'We had a little snap shot of him' - Darren Moore's angst over brief time with Aston Villa loanee at Doncaster Rovers

The Aston Villa youngster made a big impression after joining on loan on transfer deadline day in January, scoring three goals for Rovers.
But he was limited to only seven appearances as the Covid-19 outbreak halted football and ultimately spelled the early end of the League One season.
And while the 19-year-old impressed, Moore says there was plenty more to come from Ramsey.
“I was really impressed but we didn’t get the chance to see the real him,” Moore told the Free Press.
“It was a great contribution and I was looking forward to the run in and seeing what he could do.
“We had a little snap shot of him. He only played a handful of games but he did well. He scored three goals and we saw a little bit.”
Ramsey ultimately scored Rovers’ final goal of the 2019/20 season in the win over MK Dons on March 7.
Moore likened Ramsey’s attacking style to England legend David Platt and expects big things from the highly-rated midfielder.
“He’s a very good player,” Moore said. “He added that bit more power to the midfield.
“He’s a goalscoring midfielder. If you’ve got that at this level, it helps a lot. It takes a bit of pressure off the forwards and it gives the opposition something else to worry about.
“He was almost David Platt-esque how he arrived late in the box. It's an unbelievable skill that he’s got to arrive late.
“He’s got the power to get off the back of people and come in from deep to create overloads.”
Moore believes all the loanees Rovers had during the 19/20 season returned to their clubs having improved during their time at the Keepmoat.
He said: “All of them have shown a great maturity to their game, for ones so young and with it being first time loans in most occasions.
“It just goes to show the level they got to, the improvement they showed but also that the environment has got to be right for bringing them in.”
