Doncaster Rovers loanee Josef Bursik endured an uneventful evening as he won his first cap for England U21s.

The Stoke City goalkeeper was handed his debut by England boss Aidy Boothroyd in the 5-0 win over Albania which closed their successful European Championship qualifying campaign for next summer’s tournament in Hungary and Slovenia.

And it proved a quiet evening for Bursik as England dominated possession and restricted the visitors at Molineux to very little in the way of attacking play.

Almost half an hour had passed by the time Bursik made his first meaningful touch of the ball when he picked up a loose ball.

And he only had one real save to make when he comfortably parried away a shot from distance that proved of little trouble.

A brace from Eddie Nketiah - who also missed a penalty - plus strikes from Callum Hudson-Odoi, James Justin and Jamal Musiala secured the comfortable win for England.
