Another carried over from the previous decade, and a player who had it all in the middle of the park. Rovers were driven by their midfield under Sean O'Driscoll and he was a vital cog in that machine. Photo: Andrew Roe

The leader that Doncaster Rovers were crying out for once Rob Jones stepped aside. A strong, no-nonsense defender that just seemed to get better - and more important - the longer he was at the club. Butler led the side through a difficult period and back onto an upward curve. Photo: Jon Buckle
15. 6 - Neil Sullivan
He straddled two decades but continued to be the man between the sticks that Rovers could rely upon. An experienced, top level goalkeeper, Sullivan enjoyed the emotional send off of the promotion win after returning from a loan away from the club. Photo: Sean Dempsey

The present - and hopefully the future - of Doncaster Rovers. Signed as a player with plenty of potential, the midfielder has lived up to that and more, and seems destined to move up the ladder sooner rather than later. Superb on the ball and a natural leader. Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe
